Labour to win landslide majority in General Election 2024
Conservatives face wipeout as Liberal Democrats surge
Polls predict biggest swing to Labour since 1997
The Labour Party is on course to win a landslide majority in the upcoming General Election 2024, according to a projection of how the UK would vote if an election was held today based on current polling weighted by recency and historic pollster accuracy.
Support for the Conservatives has plummeted by 10 points since the last election in 2019, propelling Labour into a commanding lead. The party is now on course to win 400 seats in the House of Commons, up from 202 in 2019. This would be the party's biggest majority since 1997.
The Conservatives, meanwhile, are facing a wipeout, with their support falling to just 23%. This would leave them with just 160 seats, down from 365 in 2019.
The Liberal Democrats have also enjoyed a surge in support, rising to 15%. This would see them win 60 seats, up from just 11 in 2019.
The results of the election are likely to have a significant impact on the UK's political landscape. A Labour government would likely reverse many of the policies of the Conservative government, including Brexit and austerity.
